A teacher in Lutselk'e, N.W.T., is recovering at home after she was shot at with either a BB or pellet gun.
RCMP say someone shot Jennifer Potts in the face and leg on the afternoon of Nov. 11 while she was cross-country skiing with her dog in the community.
Police have no suspects so far but are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Potts is recovering from her injuries at home, according to Sheila Cavanagh, principal at Lutselk'e Dene School, where Potts works as a teacher.
Cavanagh said a community meeting was held in Lutselk'e the day after the incident. Members of the regional district education authority met on Monday night.
"[At] the community meeting, there was a very large showing of community members, and there was a great deal of support expressed for Jen and for the school and a tremendous amount of outrage," Cavanagh told CBC News on Tuesday.
"People were very upset with what happened."
Cavanagh said Potts is in her second year at the Lutselk'e school.
