OUR SOLDIERS NOT ONLY HEROES BUT ARE/WERE GUINEA PIGS OF OUR ALLIES. WHILE ALL GLORY IF ANY WOULD GO TO AMERICA. DIEPPE IS A CLASSICAL EXAMPLE , DEFENCE OF HONG KONG IS ANOTHER. ALL DIRTY AND DIFFICULT JOBS ARE ASSIGNED TO OUR SOLDIERS, AND OUR COMMANDERS/POLITICIANS ARE TOO PLEASED TO ACCEPT IN ORDER TO PROVE THEIR SUPER ABILITY.THERE ARE NO PLACE FOR OUR SOLDIERS IN MIDDLE EAST. IT IS TIME TO THROW BACK THE HOT POTATO TO OUR LOFTY BROTHER IN THE SOUTH, AND COME HOME.

retired 63 - The war was started by al Qaeda and the Taliban. And the war is about eradicating the Taliban and al Qaeda, not defeating the Afghan people. Why do you people pesist in this delusion about taking over Afghanistan? No one wants to.

To hanniballechter and anyone else who doesn't yet get it, it's quite simple. Afghanistan's Taliban government provided a secure location to al Qaeda (it doesn't matter what country their members are from) for the planning and execution of an attack on the United States, who then asked the Taliban to hand over those responsible, but the Taliban refused. The US obtained UN Security Council permission to invade. As a NATO ally, they asked Canada for help, which we did. By the book. Get over it.

Canada out of Afghanistan now. How many young Canadians must die in this useless war was started by George W. Bush, Read History and find out the Afganistan people will not be defeated. Just ask the USSR and Great Britain.

SAD-rest in peace-your life was not in vain-we have to take the fight to them-remember 911-approx 20 canadians died in that one-Air India over scotland-318 died -mostly canadians with east India descent-etc.. all done by terrorists that were trained by Al Quaida over in that part of the world-remember approx 1 yr ago those terrorist wannabes in toronto planning to blow things up here in Canada-we are at war-remember that-this war is for real-rest in peace
