NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Buffalo Sabres have given goaltender Ryan Miller a five-year contract extension through the 2013-2014 season, the club said on Friday.

Miller, 28, appeared in a franchise-high 76 games last season, posting a 36-27-10 record with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.

He has appeared in 205 regular season games, compiling a 112-68-19 record with a GAA of 2.69 since being selected by the Sabres in the fifth round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Miller was set to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2008-09 season.
