Hundreds of people gathered for funeral services held for two Quebec girls and their grandmother, who were killed at their family home in Saint-Romain earlier this month.
Juliette and Laurence Fillion, 8 and 11, and their grandmother Ginette Roy-Morin, 70, were found dead in the senior woman's rural Estrie home on Feb. 10.
Mourners packed a small church in the neighbouring town of Saint-Sébastien to honour the victims Saturday afternoon.
Roy-Morin's son Pascal Morin, 35 – also uncle to the girls – faces three counts of first-degree murder.
He is undergoing psychiatric evaluation, and is due back in court March 14.
