Saskatoon teen says men with machetes attacked him

Saskatoon police are searching for two suspects after a machete attack and robbery on the east edge of the city.

Officers were called Friday night at around 10 p.m. CST to a parking lot on the 10 block of Kenderdine Rd.

A 17-year-old boy was sitting in a car suffering from stab wounds police described as non-life-threatening.

The teen said he had been with two other men earlier at a different parking lot in the neighbourhood when they began stabbing him with machetes.

The two stole his personal belongings and ran away, he said.

The victim then drove to the Kenderdine location where police were called.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Saskatoon police service at 975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Friday's attack was the latest in a series of recent incidents where police say machetes were involved.
