Billboards about a girl in a red scarf seen at the Grandin LRT station have popped up around the city over the last few weeks, leading some Edmontonians to come up with their own theories as to who — or what — the messages are for.
Here’s what some Twitter users had to say:
- @journalistjeff: I’m hoping it’s a red scarf manufacturer. #yeg
- @CLH83: Mmm.. I think they’re giving away clues one bit at a time leading up to a huge event in the city? Not sure what event though!
- @TheXSivDon: a desperate man’s plea for company, the next logical step from Internet dating!
- @KennyJamess: i have a good feeling it’s a guy trying to get the attention of a girl, thing is if shes taking the bus/lrt shes not going to see the billboards along the roads
- @DeDutchess: My bet is on Southgate Shopping Centre #billboards
- @MommyConnectEDS: I wondered if it had to do with the LRT, but then couldn’t figure out why-only other creative signs have been for radio
- @Steve_Curtis10: this is boring, but I think its to sell more billboard ads. You know how they used to have “made you look, see it works”
- @nicole_goetz: What?! Such a rip off of Confessions of a Shopaholic! #fail
