The search for a missing man who was last seen near an overflowing brook in the Durham Bridge area of New Brunswick, has ended tragically.
A spokesperson for the RCMP said searchers found the body of the 47 year old man from the Fredericton area at around 4:30 this afternoon, in the water.
The search began 24 hours earlier when police received a report that the man, who was driving an ATV, had gone missing.
There is currently no word on the cause of the man's death or whether there will be an autopsy. Police also say they are not releasing the man's identity.
Ground search teams were assisted by military personnel and a helicopter in the efforts to find the missing man.
