Sexual assault charges against a former Swift Current, Sask. teacher have been stayed.
In December of 2011, Klaus Froese was charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
When a charge is stayed it means the proceedings have been suspended. It is not a finding of innocence.
The RCMP said at the time Froese had worked for the Chinook School Division.
At the time he was charged he was released on conditions that included avoiding schools and playgrounds, and not contacting the alleged victim or any potential witnesses.
