With heavy snowfall hitting Edmonton Sunday, the familiar sight of snow plows and sanders are back on city streets.
“Crews will be working through this afternoon, this evening and well into the morning to make sure we can bring roads up to good winter driving conditions,” said city spokeswoman Laura Mcnabb.
She said crews will focus on clearing and sanding the busiest freeways and major arterial roads first, as well as hills and bridges, especially those in the river valley.
McNabb said that while crews are working, drivers should be careful while passing equipment on the road.
She said they should also be prepared to slow down and drive according to the conditions.
