Arctic Cat has issued a recall on 19,000 of its 2012 snowmobiles sold in Canada and the U.S. due to possible steering problems.
The company says it has had four reports of faulty steering mechanisms, including one complete loss of steering control. No injuries have been reported.
The problem is the lower steering tie-rod attachment can loosen and cause loss of steering control.
Arctic Cat spokesperson John Tramby says people should stop using the machines, and bring them to their dealer.
"The dealer will do an inspection — shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes — and most of the time it should be just fine, but if there is an issue we want to be able to address it right away. We don't want anybody running those machines until they've had that inspection."
The recall covers 2012 Arctic Cats, models F, XF and M, including those previously recalled in December due to a problem with the headlamp fuse.
