Surrey RCMP hunting driver who caused 3-vehicle crash, injuring 6

Moncton woman's sudden death was natural causes

Surrey RCMP are asking for help in finding a man they say stole a black 2005 Ford F350 truck and hours later caused a spectacular crash in the 9800 block of 120th Street.

Investigators say the truck lost control while attempting to pass a car. It struck that vehicle, went onto the median, crossed over it and then struck two other vehicles in the southbound lane of Scott Road.

The man driving the Ford truck fled the scene.

Police used police dogs and an RCMP helicopter to try and locate the driver but didn't find him.

The other three vehicles involved, a north bound Nissan Altima, a southbound Dodge Caravan, and a southbound Toyota pickup, were all extensively damaged.

Seven people in the three vehicles received only minor injuries, and did not require hospitalization.

Police say speed appears to have been a contributing factor in the collision.

They're asking the driver of the pickup truck to come forward on his own.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or the pickup truck fleeing from the scene is asked to call the Surrey RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
