Terrace homeless man burned in vodka robbery

RCMP in Terrace, B.C., are looking for three suspects who allegedly robbed and burned a homeless man for a bottle of vodka on Thursday night.

The intoxicated 48-year-old man was walking to a homeless shelter around 11 p.m. PT when he was approached by three men in their 20s, according to Const. Angela Rabut.

The suspects pushed him to the ground and held him there, stole his bottle of vodka, then burned the man's face and hands with a lighter because he was looking at them.

"He did suffer minor injuries. It was more traumatizing for him. He was really scared, and after three men ran away, he managed to find an abandoned truck where he hid for the remainder of the night," said Rabut.

The first suspect is described as white man in his 20s, just over six feet tall with a lanky build and red hair, wearing a red sweater.

The second suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, about five feet eight inches tall with a stocky build and dirty blond hair wearing a leather jacket.

The third suspect is in his 20s, five feet eight inches tall with a stocky build and dirty blond hair, wearing a light brown suede jacket.
