Thug Beats Teenage Girlfriend To A Pulp And Leaves Her For Dead

These are the shocking scenes recorded on CCTV that show a drunken thug unleashing a violent attack on his teenage girlfriend, leaving her for dead in a car park.

Evil Darryl Moore, 22, is seen arguing with his 18-year-old girlfriend, Rayna Holden, in a pub beer garden in Washington, Tyne and Wear, before he chases her outside.

What happens next is a violent and brutal assault that saw Moore punch, kick and stamp on petite Rayna’s body while she was unconscious.

Standing at just 5ft 5in, size six Rayna was left with bruising, two broken ribs and a dislocated knee after the savage beating.

Moore, who was convicted of assault, dragged his fleeing girlfriend down a hill to continue his beating before his pal eventually pulled him off her.

After the attack, Rayna spent two months in Wearside Women in Need Shelter before moving back in with her grandfather David, 69.

Student Rayna plans to study hair and beauty at college next month, but still feels traumatised by the ordeal.

She said: “Daryl was so charming when I first met him.

"But after he lost his job as an engineer he turned nasty.

"That day, he had been drinking for three hours when I went to speak to a pal - and he just lost it.

"He got jealous and stood over me, screaming that I was a ‘slag and a ‘slut’.”

The pub’s CCTV footage captured the attack in a 14-minute video, which sees Moore throw beer at her before punching her in the face and chasing her from the garden.

He then dragged her up a grassy bank and punched her repeatedly for over a minute - before she slipped into unconsciousness.

Moore then continued punching and kicking his downed girlfriend of three years, even though she went limp.

Rayna said: “He kept yelling that I was a 'little whore’ as he beat and punched me. He was unstoppable - even when I told him he would kill me.

"The beatings kept coming until I couldn’t think straight.

"I stopped begging him to leave me alone, all I could do was curl in a ball and wait for it to be over.”

Brave Rayna said Daryl was her first love and she “trusted him completely”.

She added: “When he attacked me that night I thought he was going to kill me. I’ve never been so terrified in all my life.

"I was scared to press charges but when I saw the CCTV footage I knew he had to be stopped - I don’t want any other woman to go through what I did.”

Callous Moore left her on the pavement, and it was about ten minutes before two customers found her and called the police.

Battered Rayna was treated at Galleries Medical Centre in Washington for a dislocated knee, two broken ribs and bruising over her body.

In June, Moore pleaded guilty to assault at Newcastle Crown Court, meaning Rayna did not have to give evidence - but she believes his 12-month jail sentence is too short.

She said: “Daryl left me for dead but the sentence feels like a slap on the wrist.

"In the meantime, I still have nightmares and have to go to counselling - it’s not right or fair.

"He’s a monster, and I want to warn other women what he’s capable of.

"If releasing this footage means one other person comes forward and reports their abuser, I’ll be happy.”
