Edmonton police have charged two females with street racing in the pedestrian fatality that killed boxer Johnathan Andre in June.
Nicole Reid, 24, has been charged with dangerous driving while street racing causing death, as has a 16-year-old female.
At about 11:30 p.m. on June 26, Andre was hit while crossing 118 Avenue at 42 Street by a westbound Honda Civic. Friends and family think Andre may have been out for a training run.
Andre, who moved to Edmonton from the Northwest Territories, is a former two-time Alberta amateur junior middle weight champion.
