    You evidently have no idea what you're talking about. Read the Criminal Code of Canada section dealing with abductions sometime. You most assuredly can be arrested and charged, convicted and sent top prison for abducting 'your' child. It has always been that way. Further, what part of this story gives you any reason whatsovere to even imagine that the gentleman is a deadbeat father? None? I see. Thought so. You are an idiot.

    Shows the law does not treat people equally. If a man did this, he would have been
    found within days, charged and convicted within months.
    A woman, just protecting her child from a violent father who raped and assaulted. Her fear
    of her husband and love of her child forced her to do the right thing. There was a stupid
    Children's Lawyer behind this madness. Track her down and you will find the source of the
    problem.

    Mother 'abducts' her daughter? Our language does not explain itself very well. The daughter is hers, one cannot abduct their own child. So what is the real story here, another deadbeat dad trying to make hinself visible? We all know the type.

      first of all "Anonymouse" you strike me more of a Rat than a mouse, either that or you just can't spell, if a couple are going through a custody battle, and one parent wants to hurt the other for nothing more than selfish reasons, an abduction may occur...refusing to allow a parent to see their child without court appointed declaration IS abduction...it's NOT that the father didn't want to see his daughter, it's that the mother refused him access for no apparent reason that we are privy to. learn to get your facts straight, just because your bitterness transends from your lack of communication with your dad, doesn't mean everyone has such a situation.
