In being a new Canadian, for many years now, my first reaction would be that all of this was perpetrated by, and on previous generations and to me a foreign society. On second thought, though,if I would have been there, at that time, I would have been complicit in this same abuse. As a human being I was vicariously present when all of this was going on. Native or non Native we, as the human race, have the capacity to perpetrate the worst atrocities on each other. I would want to apologize to those Natives affected today because given the right circumstances and cultural environment I would have done the same. Healing will only come when we are willing to take ownership of what we are all capable of doing to each other.

Can't speak for Canadians but, LensCrafters offer two pair even with bi-focals for $99.00 when they have their sales.

Why does the residential schools video have comments about Lenscrafters? Is this because of the CBC's budget cutting?

Years ago, when you could get a frame for $120, I found one I loved. Within a year the frame broke and I was told the frame was discontinued. I finally found someone who told me they had found a source that had three of the same frames left and I could buy one for wholesale price...which was $12.00. I bought all three! Indeed, they were exactly the very same frame.
