Gordon Ramsay opens Montreal restaurant

This is fantastic!! Love Ramsey and wish I lived closer so I could try the restaurant! Lucky Montreal!!!!

I ate at Maze, one of his NYC restaurants and had the worst dining experience of my entire life. The food was drastically over-salted. I will avoid his restaurants for the rest of my life.

I will not want to eat in a restaurant where food is prepared by an angry Chef and cooks who are being yelled at all the time. It is just not appealling. I'd rather eat in a peaceful place.

Thank you Ramsey for opening a restuarant in Monteal I can hardly wait. This is the best news ever!!!!!

I heard on the news this morning that they had to evacuate the restaurant last night at the launch because of a sprinkler malfunction, the fire alarm went off......

I'm housesitting, and stuck with 2 TV channels. Had the misfortune of watching Hells Kitchen last night. What a contrived 'drama' routine. There's nothing real about this show, it's all scripted. I hate when I'm manipulated like that. Gordon Ramsey is a legend in his own mind. Let's hope he disappears soon.

I have watched his show on tv and not once have I ever seen him stress the importance of food safety . I have seen instances of cross contamination though. Maybe you don't think it is very important until someone gets violently sick ? Does he think his audience doesn't need a few lessons on safe cooking? This reminds me, people who like those subshops should insist that they clean off their knives and cutting boards once in a while before they make their next sub sandwich. Make sure that their food products are still in the safe range in temperature. anywhere between 4 and 40 celcius is dangerous anything under 4 or above 40 is safe.

Some people in here will never eat in Ramsey's restaurants, because they simply could
not afford to. So like the dog in the manger, they pretend that they don't want to. LOL

Wow. I'm from Montreal and I disagree with you 100%. Have you forgotten Montreal is the only F1 stop in North America? Real big of you to insult Montreal and not even put up a screen name, chicken shit!

For a fussy and yelling chef, I sure never notice much hand washing on any of his tv shows, makes you wonder doesn't it? LOL

Many of the comments make me laff. As if his tv persona on Hell's Kitchen is anything like real life in his real restaurants. As for over salted food - sometimes a kitchen or a certain chef on duty is off, I never judge a restaurant on one meal.

I was hoping he would open some of his restaurants in Canada. How about one in Toronto, that would be great.
