WATCH: Shock Footage Of Russian Toddler Inches From Death On Eighth-floor Window Ledge
This is the stomach-churning moment an oblivious toddler teeters on the window ledge of an eighth-floor flat.
The child, aged about two-years-old, is just inches from a fatal fall as he stands casually, often without holding on.
Amazingly, the boy spends over two minutes on the ledge while his parents are nowhere to be seen.
The extraordinary footage was taken by a family who live in the apartment block opposite, who called the police.
The shocking incident happened in the city of Miass in southern Russia’s Chelyabinsk Oblast region.
The video, which was uploaded onto YouTube and has been viewed thousands of times, starts with the boy standing on one leg on the window sill.
A sudden gust of wind would have blown him off the ledge - but amazingly the boy seems fearless.
Much to the relief of the family watching, the little lad eventually has enough and climbs back inside the flat.
Police officers, who arrived about 15-minutes after the emergency call, did not see the toddler’s death-defying stunt but have now spoken to the parents.
A spokesman said they were a normal family without any problems and the parents are said to have been shocked when they were told what had happened while their backs were turned.
