Weird Al Yankovic adds another show in Halifax

If you were crushed that Casino Nova Scotia's Weird Al Yankovic show sold out, we have good news.

The master of music parody has added a second show in Halifax on July 23, the day before the first Halifax show of his Mandatory Fun tour.

Casino Nova Scotia said the second show was added because the first sold out so quickly.

Presale tickets for the latest show go on sale March 12 at 11 a.m. Regular tickets go on sale March 13. Prices start at $60 plus HST and service fees.

When Yankovic's Mandatory Fun debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart last year, it was the first time a comedy album has topped the chart in more than 50 years.

His success was boosted by his "8 videos in 8 days" campaign which released daily Vevo and YouTube videos parodying top hits like Pharrell Williams's Happy and Lorde's Royals. The collection has more than 46 million views.

Viewers have clicked on Yankovic's Word Crimes video — a grammatically correct send-up of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines — more than 22 million times.

Weird Al Yankovic is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history with over 12 million albums sold.
