Young mum's crippling stomach pains caused by surgical clamp left behind during C-section

A young Russian mum was stunned to discover that her terrible stomach ache was being caused by an 8-inch surgical clamp left behind during a C-section three years previously.

Aisina Zindusova was admitted to a hospital in Ufa with crippling abdominal pains last month.

She underwent an X-ray - and was shocked to spot the surgical instrument that had been left inside her body as she gave birth in 2012.

Zindusova underwent a delicate two-and-a-half hour operation to have it removed.

“I felt OK up until now but I cannot believe I carried a clamp in my stomach for three years after my caesarean,” she said.

“My back started to ache and I started to lose weight, then an X-Ray found a clamp inside of me,” she added.

The hospital and police have both launched investigations into the incident.

Zindusova said she is also considering making a legal claim for damages against the hospital.
