Second person dies from Saint-Eustache car crash
Two people are dead following a car crash that took place around 5 a.m. ET Saturday in Saint-Eustache, north of Montreal.
Sgt. Phillipe Geoffrion, from the Saint-Eustache police department, said four people — one woman and three men — were in the vehicle. They ranged in age from late teens to early twenties.
There was no immediate word on the identities of the two who died.
Police said they believe speeding was a factor in the crash, which took place on Chemin Fresnière in a residential area adding the driver of the car lost control and slammed into a tree.
Police said a full investigation would be done to determine the exact cause of the crash.
There remains one person in hospital in critical condition. The fourth is stable and also still in hospital.
