Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Next week on Neighbours, Erinsborough High sets the stage for high drama as the siege continues. Meanwhile, Shane returns to Ramsay Street, but not everyone is pleased to see him.

Here are 10 spoilers to look forward to.

1. The siege continues at Erinsborough High

Dax has hostages at the school and now they all know that he is responsible for the drugs that have been circulating. Angry and desperate, it soon becomes clear that Dax does not have any issue injuring people and Richie learns that the hard way with a blow to the ribs that leaves the schoolboy badly hurt.

Armed with a taser, one that is pointed at Susan a lot of the time, and with various residents either in hiding or directly in harm's way, will Dax find a way to escape the punishment for his crime?

2. Mackenzie's life is on the line

One person that ends up worse off than anybody else because of the siege is Mackenzie, who finds herself on the wrong end of Dax's taser – and she is left lying lifeless on the floor as a result. As Yashvi works to save her friends and bring Dax down, Susan is left to perform CPR on Mackenzie in an attempt to save her life.

Karl eventually finds them both and jumps into doctor mode. They are able to get Mackenzie breathing again and she is rushed to the hospital. But will she pull through, and will Yashvi be able to stop Dax?

3. Shane makes an unwelcome return

Shane left Erinsborough in recent weeks after he revealed the truth about his drug use and headed off to rehab at the request of his family. Dipi is shocked and disappointed when he returns home early and insists that he got all he needed out of his stay there. But she stresses her concerns that he should have stuck the course out, and Toadie also makes it clear that he thinks his brother is behaving irresponsibly.

Shane is only focused on saving his marriage, but has he put it in more jeopardy by coming home before he was advised to?

4. Levi's family find out the truth

Sheila and Kyle get a shock when they return home to find Levi on the floor in the middle of having a seizure. Bea shows up too and when Levi wakes up and tries to play the whole thing down, she forces him to admit the truth. Levi realises he has no choice and tells them that his epilepsy had never left, much to Sheila's horror.

Clive then realises that Levi's medication has been swapped and they realise it must have been Dax. But Levi now has more pressing concerns – he needs to be honest with his superiors, despite knowing that the revelation could cost him his job. He and Bea also need to come clean about their sham relationship.

5. Ned gets a tempting offer

Ned had just got away with a potentially dangerous situation when he accidentally revealed his location in a nude photo to one of his Fandangle subscribers. But while he knows he needs to be more careful with what he sends, a request for a video comes through with a price tag that will allow him to focus on his career and never have to use the Only Fans-like service again.

With the amount offered sorely tempting, he decides that he should go ahead with it, but will he come to regret it?

6. Roxy takes a step back

Despite at first being there for Shane when she found out about his drug use, things soon turned nasty for Roxy when she found herself on the receiving end of two nasty outbursts from him.

Now he is back, she feels that she should check on him, but Kyle tells her that she needs to be cautious, as being there for him has already caused enough problems. Roxy decides that she should put some distance between them, but how will Shane cope with one less person to talk to?

7. Chloe's baby is in danger

Chloe and Pierce were overjoyed when they found out their unborn baby did not display any Huntington's gene markers, meaning they were able to go ahead with the pregnancy without any extra fears. Chloe is rattled when Pierce suggests they leave Ramsay Street, and Nicolette suggests a long walk to help her clear her head, where she admits something about her marriage that surprises Nicolette.

The walk ultimately helps and Chloe begins to feel better – only to be struck with shooting pains that lead to the realisation that something is terribly wrong with the baby.

8. Mackenzie is given food for thought

When Mackenzie wakes up in the hospital, she is horrified to learn how close she came to being killed in the siege. Realising how precious life is, her first order of business is to get her friendships back on track. In the wake of the all the arguments over the position of youth advisor to the council, she forgives both Harlow and Hendrix for the squabbling it caused.

But for Richie, he is left to wonder whether he too can be forgiven for causing the rift between them over Shane's drugs use. Are these two set for a reconciliation?

9. Hendrix reveals the truth to Toadie

The only person that knows what Rose is up to is Hendrix. He was sympathetic to her story and agreed to stay quiet and not tell Toadie that his assistant is prying into confidential files. But his guilt starts to grow next week and, concerned about what her actions could mean for Toadie's career, he decides to come clean.

Toadie fires Rose after confronting her and is furious about the deception – even after learning why she was doing it. Will Rose be able to make things right and get her job back?

10. Shane makes things worse

Shane's return to Erinsborough ruffled some feathers and he was left despondent to learn that Dipi was not happy to see him back. Knowing that his marriage is on the line, he decides to step up and make Dipi remember why she fell in love with him in the first place.

Shane steps in at Harold's to help her during a busy day but, not knowing his way around the kitchen, he only succeeds in becoming more of a hindrance than a helper. With the pair not on the same page, is there any hope for getting their marriage back on track?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
