$130K in crystal meth seized in drug bust, Charlottetown police say

A Charlottetown man is facing charges after police say they found $130,000 worth of methamphetamine during a drug bust in the Hillsborough Park area of the city Monday night.

Police seized 2.7 kilograms of crystal meth, drug paraphernalia, three cellphones and more than $3,000 in cash from a home on Park Avenue after executing a search warrant, Charlottetown Police Services said in a news release.

The accused has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and will remain in custody, police said. He is due to appear in provincial court on Thursday.
