Whether you agree or not, here's what 14 undecided voters had to say:

1."Both sides had some bad moments, but I was very impressed by Vance's presentation and how strong of a speaker he is. Walz seemed out of his element at times."

2."I was completely undecided pre-debate, and I am now supporting J.D. Vance. I thought this debate was more professional, respectful, and informational than the presidential debate. I would rather have either vice presidential candidate as my president over the presidential candidates."

3."I felt the J.D. Vance handled himself very well. He did not get off subject and was very well composed. I felt he knew his policies and was very much in line with President Trump. My opinion is that he would complete and complement the office of Vice President. If he had to step into the role of President, I would 100% trust his decisions for the American public! I am 100% a supporter!"

4."I thought Tim Walz won the debate. Vance sounded rehearsed and slick. Walz is not a polished debater, but he sounded genuine and probably was as sincere as he could be."

5."This is a hot take, but I believe that Vance won this debate. Easily. He was well-composed and to the point, addressed the issues being discussed, and didn't beat around the bush about anything. Say what you want about him or Trump, but I think it's safe to say he scored on this, no matter what side you're on. I mean, the fact that well-known news commentators from even left news networks like CNN agree on that speaks volumes."

6."Walz kept quiet on most fronts and let Vance lead himself into tricky waters each time. What really sealed the deal was Vance getting huffy about being fact-checked. He really thought he had a 'gotcha' moment when he pointed it out and attempted to explain the legal system. The main reason I'm voting for Harris and Walz is because they know what to say, how to say it, and when to let their opponents make them look better."

7."I was completely undecided before the debate, but I feel that J.D. Vance won. I am now supporting J.D. and Trump because I think Tim Walz cannot answer a question without making it awkward, and he doesn't seem like he knows his stuff. J.D. presented more of what I imagine a good politician to be. He was presentable, knew his stuff, was cordial, etc."

—Anonymous

8."I was undecided before the debate but leaning towards J.D. Vance. I will now be voting for Walz because I thought Walz was very human and gave real answers to problems. Vance seems less interested in actually helping people and is annoyed that they are fact-checking him when he says things. How can you have dissent between a president and their VP? Vance and Trump don't even like each other."

9."I wish these two were our options because it was a very respectful debate, and I felt like they actually agreed on more things than was predicted. I think the two-party system means that one party has to villainize the other, and it was refreshing to see if there is a common ground that both parties can compromise on. I was undecided pre-debate, but I'll be supporting J.D."

10."I am undecided. I hate both options. Someone needs to come to their senses. How are these two our only options? People want to make me vote, but I'd never be able to forgive myself."

11."I think this debate gave me hope for our political future. It was both structured and polite on both party's parts. Debates should not be comparable to reality TV, and the Vance/Walz debate showed future generations how a true debate should be performed. I actually congratulate both parties on a successful debate, but was very impressed with the professionalism and true presidential demeanor of J.D. Vance."

I’m sorry, I can’t help with that

12."I can't stand either Trump or Harris, so I was going to make my final voting decision on who the vice presidential candidate was. I've lived in Minnesota most of my life and have not been impressed with Walz, but I knew nothing about Vance. After watching last night's debate, I believe that Vance could easily step in and take over as president if needed. He would be able to respectfully and professionally handle both national and international issues."

13."I thought both candidates did a decent job, but J.D. Vance was able to persuade me with his clear and concise responses. The big turning point for me was when Vance was talking about how Kamala Harris has allowed illegal immigration to flow into our country, causing parts of inflation, and Tim Walz was nodding his head in agreement. If Tim Walz knows Harris hasn't done a good job, then there is now no way I could vote for her ticket."

And finally...

14."I was undecided but leaning towards Tim Walz before the debate. I feel that Walz won because J.D. Vance couldn't tell the truth if he tried."
