17 cold-weather records set in Sask.

Frosty temperatures are persisting in Saskatchewan, with 17 cold-weather records being set this morning.

Temperatures well into the minus teens were being felt all over the province in the early morning hours.

Records for April 14 were set in Estevan, Assiniboia, Melfort, Maple Creek and 13 other communities.

The cold spot was Key Lake in the north, where the mercury dipped to -31.6 C, although that was not a record.

No records were set in relatively balmy Regina (-11.1 C) or Saskatoon (-11.7).
