17-year-old girl killed in two-vehicle collision in Toronto, police say

Toronto police say a 17-year-old girl has died after a two-vehicle collision in the city's North York area.

Police say the crash happened during Monday afternoon in a central part of the city.

They say one of the two vehicles involved struck a pole, toppling it to the ground.

Police say a girl was trapped inside the car for some time, and was taken to hospital after being removed from the vehicle.

She was pronounced dead later in the day, and police are not releasing her name.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the crash.
