18-year-old driver crashes into home on St. Thomas Line

Police in St. John's believe slippery road conditions were to blame for a collision on St. Thomas Line Saturday night.

At 7:38 p.m., the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a report that a vehicle had crashed into a home.

Police said the 18-year-old female driver was taken to hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries.

Meanwhile, a male driver was taken into custody in St. John's, after the RNC laid charges of stolen property.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, police answered a call that a vehicle was operating erratically in the area of Kelsey Drive.

Police said the vehicle and driver were located, and it was determined the vehicle had been reported stolen.

The driver was also charged with breaching a recognizance.

He was held in custody to appear in provincial court on Sunday.
