An 18-year-old California woman who was last seen on Halloween has been found dead, authorities said.

The Marin County Sheriff's Office said in a post on Facebook on Thursday, Dec. 5, that the body of Mai Sai Vue was discovered on the shoreline "fronting Point San Pedro near McNears Beach in San Rafael beside the Bay waters" on Thursday, Nov. 28.

"Due to the precarious and difficult to access location of the found remains, the subject was recovered by Marin County Search and Rescue Team personnel with the aid of other First Responders," officials added. "Due to the presenting poor physiologic condition of the body, death was declared at the scene without any resuscitative aid provided."

The San Francisco Police Department initially asked for the public's assistance in searching for Mai Sai Vue on Nov. 3 — just days after she was last seen around 11 p.m. local time on Oct. 31.

The sheriff's office said Sai Vue reportedly went missing while attending a concert venue with friends and family members. Though officials said there are no signs of foul play in her death at this time.

According to the police, Vue was last seen "in the area of Grove and Larkin Streets in San Francisco" on Halloween, wearing a white dress, black leggings and black high heels."

"I am still in disbelief of having to ask for everyone's support and favor in donations of her funeral expenses as she is my only sister who I had hoped to grow old with," her sister Katelynn wrote on GoFundMe following her death. "I am at a loss for words and hoping that with your support, I can send my sister off well."

The GoFundMe, which has so far raised over $15,000 for funeral expenses, described Mai Sai as "very intelligent" and a "sweet person." Her funeral is scheduled for Dec. 18, with a burial set for the following day in Sacramento, according to the fundraiser.

"As my only sister, she was my rock and the only person who I could count on," the sister wrote. "Without my baby sister, I am lost, broken, and unable to focus on the fact that I no longer will have someone to lean on or to call my sister. A short but sweet lifetime together is never enough."

Katelynn also thanked those who helped in the search for the 18 year old.
