The "Bugatti" rapper posted footage of the wreckage on his Instagram Story.
2 Chainz has posted a video from a stretcher after he was reportedly involved in a car accident in Miami on Saturday morning.
The 46-year-old “We Own It” rapper shared the footage on his Instagram Story, filming it while he seemed to be sitting in the back of an ambulance. In the clip he zooms in to focus on a black vehicle with extensive damage to its front and driver’s side.
The musician, born Tauheed K. Epps, was in Miami for the Art Basel festival. After leaving the strip club Booby Trap, 2 Chainz was preparing to exit the interstate when his vehicle was struck by a Tesla, reports TMZ. The outlet noted that the Grammy winner suffered neck injuries and may have potential additional injuries, but is in stable condition.
The driver who caused the accident is suspected to have been operating the vehicle under the influence, TMZ reports, citing law enforcement sources.
Representatives for 2 Chainz did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.
Known for hits like “I’m Different” and “Bugatti,” 2 Chainz rose to popularity as a member of the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle before embarking on a solo career in 2012. In the years since, he has released seven albums and collaborated with artists including Chance the Rapper, Drake, Pharrell Williams, and Ariana Grande.
