New Brunswick RCMP are investigating two separate, fatal motor vehicle crashes this weekend.
On Friday, a 66-year-old man from Astle, N.B., died at the scene from injuries he sustained in a crash on Route 8 in Northumberland County.
According to the Doaktown RCMP, the man was driving north near Astle when his pickup truck lost control and veered into an oncoming motorhome. Police say there were no other major injuries in the collision.
On Saturday, a 23-year-old Quispamsis man died at the scene from his injuries after his westbound vehicle lost control going around a curve on Highway 820 in Barnesville, N.B., about 40 kilometres east of Saint John, according to police. An RCMP collision reconstructionist is helping determine the cause of the crash.
