Lockdown ends at 2 Trois-Rivières schools after suspect arrested

The lockdown is over at an elementary school and nearby high school in Trois-Rivières, Que., after a suspect was arrested for making threats against a student at the high school.

The Chemin-du-Roy school board says the confinement order has been lifted at Collège de l'Horizon and the sports building of the Académie sportive elementary school on Montplaisir Street.

The schools were on lockdown for about an hour midday Friday, as police searched for a suspect after death threats were made against a student at Collège de l'Horizon​.

Trois-Rivières police arrested an 18-year-old man.

The school board says classes have resumed at both schools.
