1 elderly woman dead after Gloucester crash in Friday rush hour traffic
An elderly woman has succumbed to her injuries in hospital after a crash at Ogilvie Road and Aviation Parkway on Friday afternoon, police say.
The two-vehicle crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. Friday. A 58-year-old driver in one vehicle suffered minor injuries, while the elderly passenger suffered critical injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle escaped unharmed.
Ottawa police closed Ogilvie from Cummings to Matheson and Aviation from Montreal Road to Highway 417 as they investigated. The roads have since reopened.
