Wild hippos descended from Pablo Escobar's pets are terrorizing Colombia

These wild hippos are descendants of the pets of Pablo Escobar. The infamous drug lord brought four hippos to Colombia in the 1980s that have since escaped and grown in number and become a nuisance and a threat. According to Gina Serna, a government veterinarian, the hippos are "causing a series of ecological problems." But some locals think the animals are good for tourism, as people are visiting the country to come see them.
