Early voting has opened in the crucial swing state of Florida, where Joe Biden currently has a slim lead of 1.4 percentage points over Donald Trump. Thus far, more than 28 million Americans have cast their ballot for the upcoming election.

While Biden’s lead nationally remains in double digits, his campaign is not getting complacent, with manager Jen O’Malley Dillon warning supporters over the weekend that “this thing is going to come down to the wire”, pointing to neck-and-neck standings in Texas and Nevada as counterpoints to her candidate’s reported seven-point lead in Georgia.

Experts are projecting Democrats will swing the Senate blue in the upcoming election as leads in contentious races increase for some liberal Senate candidates.
