2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony: Team Canada puts a bow on the most successful non-boycotted Summer Games in Canadian history

After 16 days of intense athletic competition that brought the world together in Paris, the 2024 Olympics have come to an end.

The Olympic closing ceremony marks the end of the 2024 Summer Games as the host city prepares to pass the torch to Milan (hosting the Winter Games in 2026) and Los Angeles (hosting the Summer Games in 2028).

For Team Canada, the Summer Games in Paris were a great success. With 27 medals earned, Canada surpassed the 24 medals won in Tokyo 2020, making the 2024 Olympics the most successful non-boycotted Summer Games in Canadian history.

Teenage sensation Summer McIntosh led the charge with four medals in Paris — three golds, and one silver — declaring herself as one of the greatest swimmers in the world. Her record-setting performance seemed to inspire Team Canada, as fellow canucks Ethan Katzberg, Phil Kim, Eleanor Harvey, Christa Deguchi, Wyatt Sanford, Camryn Rogers, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Gabby Dabrowski, Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson, and the men's 4x100-metre relay team all made Canadian Olympic history in Paris.

The 2024 Summer Games gave us an Olympic adventure that we won't soon forget, and the future sure looks bright for many of Team Canada's Olympic superstars. As we wrap up a record-setting Olympics for Team Canada, here are a few of our favourite photos from the closing ceremony in Paris.
