21-year-old Sacramento motorcyclist killed in rural Placer County crash, CHP says

A 21-year-old Sacramento motorcyclist was killed Sunday after crashing into a guardrail in Placer County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers were called about 9:40 a.m. for a call for a crash at Old Auburn Foresthill Road, west of Foresthill Road in unincorporated Placer County, a news release from the CHP’s Auburn office said.

A motorcyclist crashed into a metal guardrail on the shoulder of Old Foresthill Road. The Sacramento man, who has not been identified, died while he was being taken to a hospital, the release said.

The Placer County Coroner’s Office is expected to identify the victim after his family has been notified.

Officers are investigating the circumstances around the crash, the release said.
