Longueuil police say they have located the car suspected to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Brossard, Que., on Friday.

Police had been looking for a black, four-door Chevrolet Silverado, which they found in the Greenfield Park sector on Montreal's South Shore on Friday morning.

Investigators are still looking for the driver that struck the 25-year-old woman while crossing at the intersection of Rome Boulevard and Lautrec Street. The woman died before she could be transported to hospital.

The driver fled toward Taschereau Boulevard after hitting the woman and the truck's front bumper was damaged in the collision, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Longueuil police.
