3 arrested after man says he was kidnapped, assaulted in Brossard, police say

Longueuil police arrested three people on Sunday after receiving a call from a man claiming to be the victim of a kidnapping and armed assault in Brossard last night.

Police responded to the 911 call at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The man was transported to hospital to be treated for injuries, but authorities do not fear for his life.

The suspects involved are all between the ages of 25 and 30 and appear to know each other.

A perimeter is set up on St. Laurent Boulevard in the South Shore as police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
