3 arrested after RCMP carry out early-morning search warrant in Yellowknife

RCMP in Yellowknife say they've arrested three people after executing a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Thursday morning.

The search was carried out a residence on Fairchild Crescent, in Northlands.

Police did not name the three people arrested, who are all now in custody.

Around 5 a.m., RCMP were outside a house on Fairchild Crescent and blocked off the street.

Police were heard telling someone to exit through the front door with their hands above their head.

One officer at the scene told CBC News the area was clear at about 7 a.m.

RCMP spokesperson Josh Seward said a news release will be issued later when more information is available.
