3 teens taken to hospital, 2 in critical condition, after Renfrew-area crash

Police say speed is a likely factor in a Renfrew-area crash that sent three teens to hospital — two in critical condition — Friday night.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to the crash on Lynch Road at the intersection of Stone Road in the township of Adamston Bromley about 20 minutes before 10 p.m. Friday.

At the scene, they found a 2001 Honda with "extensive damage," said the OPP.

The driver of the car, a 19-year-old man, and his two male passengers, ages 17 and 16, were taken to hospital by paramedics, said the OPP.

Speeding likely contributed to the crash, which occurred about 100 kilometres west of Ottawa, police said.

The OPP's Technical Collision Investigators are assisting in the investigation.
