3-vehicle crash leads to impaired driving arrest

'Attacked at random': No clear motive for stabbing of teen girl at Winkler church, police say

A 27-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after a three-vehicle pileup in Morell, P.E.I., Saturday evening, say RCMP.

The accident happened about 8 p.m. One woman, a passenger in the man's car, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, RCMP said. Others involved were treated at the scene for bumps and scrapes.

The man was arrested at the scene for impaired driving. He was taken to RCMP's Souris detachment and provided breath samples which were more than twice the legal limit, RCMP said.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
