A 13-year-old girl and three 12-year-old girls have been arrested in connection to the arson that left a popular Winnipeg playground melted and charred.
Emergency crews were called to the blaze at Harbourview Park and Recreation Complex around 11 p.m. on Monday. When they arrived the entire play area was engulfed in flame.
Damage was originally estimated at $200,000 but that has been increased now to $350,000.
The girls were found after police received numerous tips.
They are facing charges of arson and possession of incendiary material.
