This Thursday, we’ve spotted some pretty electrifying deals at Amazon. From one of our all-time favorite waffle makers to an ultra-cozy, Reviewed-approved comforter, these price drops are definitely worth a peek. Ahead, check out our top Amazon sale picks of the day.
1. More than half-off: One of our favorite waffle makers
In the world of cooking, Cuisinart is right up there with some of the best manufacturers on the market. In fact, the brand makes some of our favorites, including the Cuisinart WAF-F20 double Belgian waffle maker, which just so happens to be on sale. Once $185, it's down to $84.99 for an incredible 54% markdown. In testing, we seriously struggled to find any flaws with this machine: It made some of the tastiest, fluffiest waffles we tried, plus, it can make two at a time, making it particularly ideal for larger families with hungry kiddos. We noted that it felt solid and well-built, and we liked the accompanying lights and tones that signal when it’s time to flip or release the waffles. Overall, it’s one of our top picks for waffle makers and we can’t recommend buying it enough.
2. $83 in savings: Our No.1 pick for air purifiers
Between West coast wildfires and COVID-19, air purifiers have been a top purchase for Reviewed readers this year. If you’ve been struggling to find one, our top pick, the Winix 5500-2, is not only back in stock, it's on sale. Normally $249.99, it's now $159.99, making for a price drop of $90. When we tested this Winix machine out, there was a lot to love, ranging from its intuitive controls (it's got status lights that signal the filter integrity, air quality and odor detection) to the user-friendly features, such as its sleep mode, quiet fan settings and easy-to-change filters. More importantly, it did an excellent job of removing odors, such as cinnamon and cigarette smoke. Our testers also noted that it decreased allergens. While it has a "PlasmaWave" function to effectively break down odor, allergens, chemical particles and toxins in the air, it can be turned off for those with a strong ozone sensitivity. Note that the company recommends changing out the filter every 12 months (a two-pack typically retails for $79.99, but is currently on sale for $46.67).
3. Up to 50% off: Our best-tested comforter
Chilly climates are slowly making an appearance, meaning that now is the perfect time to stock up on all things cozy throws and snuggly blankets. Luckily, our favorite comforter, the Linenspa all-season down alternative quilted comforter, is on sale in a sand/mocha color combo from $21.99 in twin, $27.09 in full, $28.06 in twin XL, $29.09 in Queen, $35.09 in oversized Queen and California King or $37.65 in oversized King. (Other colors, like stone/charcoal and navy/graphite, are also on sale though prices vary based on the size.)
While we did notice a few flaws in this affordable bedding (namely, low-quality stitching, which might result in future fraying, and poor color matching), we were still pleasantly surprised by this blanket, which was ultimately the most affordable option on our list. The microfiber exterior was a dream to sleep on thanks to its super-soft feel, and stains and messes were impressively easy to scrub out. While we found it cozy enough to sleep on without a duvet cover, the blanket also comes with eight fastening loops at the corners and sides for quick and easy assembly.
4. $140 down: This easy-to-use robot vacuum
There are a plethora of robot vacuum cleaners to choose from on the market, so it's no wonder if you’re struggling to find the one best fit for your lifestyle. You might as well end your search here, however, thanks to the discount we just found on the iLife A9 robot vacuum. Once $299.99, it's currently $159.99 through tonight, October 8, only. That's a $140 price drop! When we tested this device out, it wasn't without its faults—its dirt pickup isn't the best we've seen, and it had a hard time with throw rugs. Unlike other models we’ve tested, however, the iLife A9 had better-than-average navigation, with a sleek, slim profile that helped it maneuver beneath furniture. Additionally, we found that it was super easy to use, thanks to the included remote, voice command and accompanying app. All in all, for its price point, we found this machine to be pretty decent—especially for those with hardwood floors and low-pile carpeting.
5. Save up to 40%: These useful car gadgets for emergencies
Through tonight, October 8, only, you can shop a slew of top-rated Audew car accessories, which range from incredibly helpful portable vacuum cleaners ($20.99) to a range of jump starters and tire inflators. You can save up to 40% on these must-haves, including the Audew 2000A Peak upgraded car jump starter, now $67.65, which is down 30% from $96.85.(Note that you can also get it for $58.99 at Audew.) Complete with a 4.7-star rating from more than 1,000 Amazon shoppers, this gizmo uses a high-speed polymer battery (as opposed to your run-of-the-mill normal starter) to jump-start any 12V vehicle, RV, tractor, lawnmower or speed boat. It has three lighting modes (stable, strobe and SOS), dual USB outputs and one type-C output, along with an LED display screen.
