Saskatoon police say they've taken a group of "high-level" drug dealers off the streets along with their large stash of drugs, weapons and high-end vehicles.

Police claim five men were selling drugs by the kilogram. The arrests earlier this month concluded a nine-month investigation involving multiple police units.

The men, ages 24 to 57, are charged with drug trafficking offences.

Investigators called the operation "Project Separate." It spanned several neighbourhoods in Saskatoon.

Search warrants targeted four homes in Lakewood and Silverspring, and a business in the North Industrial area.

Officers seized 4.2 kilograms of cocaine, 2.9 kilograms of methamphetamine, $16,000 in cash, a 9mm carbine rifle and a Colt .38 revolver, according to a Saskatoon police news release.

Among the the seven vehicles seized were a 2019 Range Rover Land Rover and a 2016 Audi RS7.
