Shop: Ray-Ban Clubmaster Aluminum, $246

“When it comes to sunglasses, there are two philosophies many follow: cheap and cheerful or full investment. While going the cheaper route can certainly help you score more quantity and style variations, I believe that investing in a classic pair that transcends any season, style or mood is the best bet. The Ray-Ban Clubmaster Aluminum sunnies are the perfect example of this.

Not to be confused with the Clubmaster Classic, these sunglasses both feel and look like the image of luxury. They’re sturdy and well-made but are still lightweight enough for extensive wear. They’re also perfect for those of us with wider faces, providing a comfortable fit that feels like nothing’s there.

I’ve owned these for over five years and, while I’ve purchased other sunglasses since then, I always tend to reach over the newbies for my tried-and-true Clubmasters. They’re well worth the investment.” — Moriba Cummings, Commerce Editor

Shop: Saint Owen She Rides Black Sunglasses, $125 (Orig. $275)

“I have always been a fan of sunglasses as a year-long accessory, but have historically gravitated toward quantity over quality. Then, I found Saint Owen. The women-owned brand creates sunglasses with rocker edginess and sturdy craftsmanship, which results in my perfect sunglasses.

Though I own several pairs of Saint Owen sunnies, I especially love my She Rides sunglasses. They have such a unique shape and provide an oversized fit without feeling too bulky. They are the perfect sunglasses to wear with leather, studs and skulls, which is my personal brand.

Bonus: I keep my sunglasses on an upcycled vintage chain by House of Correia, a woman-owned accessories brand that’s quirky and gorgeous.” — Katie Dupere, Commerce Editor

Shop: Ray-Ban Aviator Classic, $154

“At this point, I feel like everyone I know has a pair of Ray-Ban Aviators, but each time I go to my collection of sunnies, I always seem to reach for my tried-and-true pair. I have the ‘standard’ size, but I love that the brand offers the same style of glasses in five different sizes so you can get a pair that fits your face without having to sacrifice on the shape you want. Plus, Aviators come in 14 colorways so there is pretty much something for everyone. I have the classic gold frames with green lenses, but the pair with violet lenses is at the top of my wishlist.” — Julia Webb, Commerce Editor

Shop: Felix Gray Hamilton Sunglasses, $105+

Felix Gray sunglasses are the best because not only are they stylish, but they also protect your eyes from blue light, which I need since I’m always staring at a computer all day. I have the Hamilton style in gold, and they are always on-trend, summer after summer. With these sunglasses, you don’t have to worry about getting a screen-induced headache when you’re on Instagram all day laying by the pool. Try them out for yourself. They even have optical glasses, too!” — Brittaney Trent, Commerce Manager

Shop: Madewell Wire-Rimmed Sunglasses, $39.99 (Orig. $55)

“I don’t usually buy really expensive or designer sunglasses because I have a knack of losing them or breaking them pretty quickly. Therefore, I’m a big fan of these wire-rimmed, ’90s-inspired sunglasses from Madewell. They’re very similar in shape to the Ray-Ban Oval Washed Evolve sunglasses (a more expensive pair I’ve had my eye on for a while), but nearly a third of the price. I wear them with just about everything, and they make me feel effortlessly cool. They also have 100 percent UVA/UVB protection, so they’re not only stylish, but they actually put in work to protect your eyes too.” — Ellie Conley, Commerce Editor
