Slow cookers are a gourmet game changer. Not only are slow cookers good for making savory entrées, they’re also great for making decadent desserts. Many TikTokers are ditching their ovens in favor of slow-cooked sweets. From warm apple crisp to creamy bread pudding, here are five dessert recipes you can make using a slow cooker.

2. Slow cooker peanut butter cake

Peanut butter lovers will definitely want a piece of this cake. First, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil and sour cream in a mixing bowl. Next, beat the ingredients until smooth, and fold in peanut butter chips. Arrange a layer of peanut butter cookies at the bottom of the slow cooker. Then cover them with the cake batter. Cook on high for an hour and a half. Then top it off with a drizzle of melted peanut butter followed by Reese’s cup bits, marshmallows and chocolate chips before cooking for an additional 30 minutes.

3. Slow cooker red velvet cake

For a red velvet cake that’s top tier, look no further than this recipe. Begin by making the batter from a blend of red velvet cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil and milk. Next, pour the batter into the slow cooker. Combine chocolate pudding mix with milk and chocolate chips in a bowl, and add to the slow cooker. Top off the batter with a layer of chocolate chips, and cook on low for four hours. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy!

4. Slow cooker peach cobbler

This cobbler is so tasty it will leave you “s-peach-less”! Start by adding a layer of canned peaches to the slow cooker. Next, completely cover the peaches with cake mix before evenly arranging slices of butter on top. Finally, sprinkle on some oats before cooking the cobbler on high for three hours and 30 minutes. This dish pairs great with vanilla ice cream.

5. Slow cooker vanilla custard bread pudding

When it comes to this recipe, the proof is in the pudding. Begin by making the batter using eggs, heavy cream, milk, sugar and vanilla. Next, cut brioche bread into one-inch cubes, and add to the slow cooker. Pour the batter over the bread, and use your hands to press down on the mix, making sure all of the cubes get soaked. After cooking, serve with whipped cream and mixed berries.
