$50K up for grabs in P.E.I. arts grants
Prince Edward Island artists are invited to apply for the spring 2017 round of arts grants.
A pool of $50,000 is available, with another round of $50,000 in the fall.
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, June 20. at 4 p.m.
Applications for funding can be submitted online for three types of grants: creation, dissemination and professional development.
Successful applicants are selected by a six-member jury of their arts community peers.
Dave Stewart's book, Fear from a Small Place, was one of the 32 projects that received funding in the previous round of arts grants earlier this year.
"I was looking for a way to get my anthology out to the world," Stewart said. "This book represents 20 Islander writers writing in the horror genre, so I felt there was a lot riding on getting it published."
