7-Eleven's Free Slurpee Day Will Look Different This Year
The best day of the year is almost here and if you're a true Slurpee fan, you know exactly what I mean. If you're not so lucky to have a 7-Eleven in your state (I'm talking about you, Georgia) or have not had the urge to grab yourself a Slurpee on a scorchin' hot summer day, then you're probably not as hip to 7-Eleven's Free Slurpee Day. Lucky for you though, I—a self-proclaimed Slurpee connoisseur—am here to let you know all about it and what you can expect for this year's glorious day!
Traditionally, Free Slurpee Day takes place yearly on July 11 (because it's 7/11, duh!), and it's filled with all the Slurpees you can drink. Really, you can usually even bring your own cup to make for the ultimate trip! Since the onset of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, however, things have shifted a bit on what used to be their busiest day of the year.
While the beloved convenience store is no longer allowing you bring your own cup, they are still giving you the chance to have a pretty sweet day. To celebrate Free Slurpee Day—which also happens to be 7-Eleven's 94th birthday—the brand is giving you the opportunity to nab one small Slurpee for free all month long. There's one catch, though. You have to be a 7Rewards Loyalty member. If you're not a member quite yet, don't you fret because joining is simple. All you have to do is download the app and make a profile.
The party doesn't stop there though. After you redeem your free small Slurpee, you have the absolute luxury of getting another one for just $1. Yes, you read that right. You can get as many small Slurpees as you want during the month of July for just $1 each! And if you want to pick up something else while you're there, know that all grill items (hot dogs, taquitos, eggrolls, and more) are all $1 too. Birthday cake donuts, on the other hand, will be just 50 cents on their actual birthday (again, that's July 11).
So there you have it, folks. A perfect way to celebrate 7-Eleven's big day. Slurpee masters, this one is for us!
