7 Home and Away questions we have after this week's Australian episodes

From Digital Spy

Home and Away spoilers follow from this week's Australian episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away has aired a supersized week of six episodes in Australia, featuring major new twists and turns in the Ross Nixon murder storyline and a serious operation for Justin Morgan.

Here are seven big questions we've been left with after the latest episodes.

1. Are Colby's secrets closing in?

Colby is at the centre of huge tensions in Summer Bay once again, as Ross's murder cover-up continues to have a devastating impact on those closest to him.

This week, Dean was dumped by Ziggy after telling her the truth about Ross. Meanwhile, Bella strongly disapproved of Colby's decision to start an affair with Angelo's wife Taylor in order to keep tabs on the murder investigation.

Ziggy was appalled by the news that Colby took a life, while Nikau was also disgusted when Bella told him about her brother's latest antics. Even Dean was starting to loosen his tongue, drunkenly taunting Angelo about how his wife could be getting bored of him.

While most of Colby's friends and family have their own reasons for wanting the truth to stay buried, is it only a matter of time before someone slips up as the tensions mount? With the way Colby has been behaving recently, we're not sure fans will be too devastated if he gets carted away in handcuffs sometime soon!

2. Could Angelo grow suspicious over the affair?

By the standards of soap police, Angelo seems to be more clued-up than most. Even though he can't prove it yet, he's already well aware that Colby and co seem to be keeping dark secrets about Ross's grisly demise.

With this in mind, could Angelo also start to realise that Colby is secretly seducing his wife Taylor? Dean's drunken comment which hinted at the affair was far from subtle, while Angelo is already keeping a very close eye on Colby anyway. The stage seems set for a major revelation and showdown sooner or later...

3. Are Justin's health troubles really over?

Justin went in for surgery this week to remove his tumour. The procedure was more difficult than expected and Tori was called in to make a major decision as Justin's next of kin.

As part of the tumour was attached to Justin's spinal cord, posing a risk of paralysis if it was removed, Tori told the hospital team to finish the procedure early rather than continuing.

Once Justin regained consciousness, everyone was relieved that he still had movement in his legs and looked set to make a strong recovery. No follow-up scenes referred to the revelation that Justin's tumour hadn't been removed in its entirety, but will Tori's split-second decision in the operating theatre have future repercussions?

4. Has Tori found love again?

Tori found an unusual way to thank smug surgeon Christian Green after he carried out the procedure on Justin. After days of chemistry between the pair, Tori found herself caught in the moment and shared a kiss with Christian in a lift.

Tori has been single for a while now as she has focused on baby Grace and the rest of her family, but could she have found a new Mr Right? With Christian's confidence and cockiness, the connection between them should certainly be an interesting one to follow.

5. Are Ziggy and Dean over for good?

Ziggy and Dean are one of Summer Bay's most popular couples, but they hit the rocks in sad scenes this week. When Dean opted to stop lying to Ziggy and tell her the truth about Ross's murder, she was unable to condone his part in the saga and ended things between them.

Dean responded in true River Boy style – getting drunk and trying to go on the rebound with Amber, who refused to be second best and rejected him.

Willow, who came to terms with Colby's killer secret months ago, seemed confident that Ziggy would see things differently once she'd had time to think about everything. But could this be wishful thinking?

6. Is John lonely?

John's life is getting back to normal as he continues to make excellent progress with his recovery and has started back at work again. The only problem is that he still seems to be at a loose end after splitting from Marilyn.

Alf became infuriated when John kept looking for excuses to have company – so much so that he ended up suggesting that John go to stay with Jett in the city for a while. But what will be next for John and his personal life once he returns to the Bay? Could he find a new love interest in the long-run?

7. Will Roo and Owen finally become a couple?

The "will they / won't they" saga between Roo and Owen continues. Roo clearly has feelings for the new man in her life, but fears that dating Evan's identical twin would be too complicated.

Ryder seems excited about the possibility of a romance between his aunt and uncle, but Roo appears sceptical over her chances of genuinely finding love again. Is it time to throw caution to the wind and make a go of things with Owen, or is the scenario simply too complicated?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
