Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

The following article contains discussion of themes including suicide that some readers may find upsetting.

It's an emotional time in Hollyoaks next week, as Kyle Kelly's depression storyline comes to a tragic conclusion. Meanwhile, Sylver continues to react badly to the arrival of his secret daughter.

Here's a full collection of eight big moments coming up:

1. Kyle makes a plea to Nancy

Kyle continues to regret choosing drugs over Nancy when she gave him the recent ultimatum over their future.

Taking matters into his own hands after Darren refused to defend him, Kyle begs Nancy for one last chance. Nancy admits that sometimes she thinks they'd all be better off without Kyle, but despite her harsh words, could she still be won round?

2. Kyle's heartbreaking exit

It seems Nancy will indeed agree to give Kyle another chance, as he later treats her to a perfect day. This includes a romantic dinner at The Hutch.

Later though, there are signs that Kyle still isn't his usual self when he gets out Oscar's family tree and closes all of the blinds.

Hollyoaks bosses have confirmed that this will be Kyle's final episode, as the show is exploring a suicide story with Adam Rickitt's character. This follows the long-running plot which has focused on Kyle and Darren's experiences with depression.

The show has worked closely with the Samaritans, Mind and local charity James' Place in order to tell the story sensitively.

Speaking recently, Adam Rickitt commented: "The sensitivity and heart that the writers put into the story really shone through, and at a time like now, more than ever, I think we need to be highlighting just this sort of issue.

"As sad as I am to say goodbye to Kyle, I have loved being a part of Hollyoaks. It's been a fantastic show to work on. To be able to leave telling a story that is so important and so challenging is more than I could ever have asked for, and like me, I hope viewers will find strength in its telling."

3. Mandy worries about Darren

Darren's own experiences with depression are also still being explored, with Mandy deeply worried about him. Mandy is coming up with ideas to help Darren, but is worried when he refuses to take any of them on board.

In the end, Mandy pays a secret visit to Darren's GP in the hope that the doctor can make some helpful suggestions. She also tries to build a support network around Darren, so asks Luke to take him out the following day.

4. Darren opens up to Luke

During their day out, Darren takes the opportunity to open up to Luke. However, he doesn't get the reaction he was hoping for, as Luke accuses him of being overly dramatic and tells him that he has nothing to be depressed about.

Luke's thoughtless response has a negative effect on Darren and he leaves an emotional voicemail on Kyle's phone. Darren says that Kyle was right with his advice not to confide in others, as it seems that nobody understands.

However, at this point, Darren is unaware of what Kyle has done. Will he feel differently when his friend's tragic death is revealed?

Romeo lives up to his name as he's immediately head over heels with Cher following her surprise arrival. He tries his luck by asking Cher out on a date.

Stealing is a favourite past-time of the McQueens and it seems that Cher is no different.

Mercedes catches Cher red-handed when the teen tries to steal one of her necklaces. Could this be the start of a battle between Mercy and her new stepdaughter, or can they get on the same page?

David Tag, who plays Sylver, recently told Digital Spy: "I think Cher's similarities to Mercedes will bring them closer to each other. Because she's Sylver's daughter, Mercedes will take on that responsibility and treat Cher as her own.

"I think they might clash in certain aspects, but on the whole they'll get on really well."

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4. Classic episodes, titled Hollyoaks Favourites, air on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 7pm on E4.
